PREVENTION IS THE KEY FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SKIN HEALTH
Acne is the most common skin problem that affects both men and women. Unpleasant to look at and painful in general, the outbreak of acne can be extremely demotivating and have an adverse effect on the confidence of an individual. Acne is a medical problem and it should be treated promptly to avoid or minimise scarring.
Blackheads are small bumps that appear on your skin due to clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called blackheads because the surface looks dark or black. Blackheads are a mild type of acne that usually form on the face.
Dull Skin is a consequence of ageing, exposure to UV light, smoking, bad diet and other environmental toxins, genetics, and poor skin care. Over time, open pores, fine lines, coarse texture, dehydrated skin all contribute to dull, non-vibrant look. Dull Skin can detract from your face even when shape and features are perfect.
Large pores can result from skin maintenance, genetics and age. People with naturally thick and oily skin tend to have larger pores. As people get older, sun damage and decreased skin elasticity can cause pores to dilate. The skin thickens, causing tiny cells to collect around the edge of the pores and make them look larger.
Frown lines are the result of gathering or knitting the tissue between the eyebrows into a fold. They are caused by the repeated action of underlying muscles associated with facial expression.
Crow’s feet are the fine lines and wrinkles that branch out from the outer corners of your eyes toward your temples that happen over time due to gravity and the loss of fat, collagen and hyaluronic acid, all of which are responsible for providing volume and structure to your face.
Bunny lines are the fine wrinkles that appear when you scrunch up your nose, such as when you laugh or smile deeply. While bunny lines can simply be caused by aging, they can also be a telltale sign that you've had Botox. In either case, the underlying cause is the same: the overuse of certain facial muscles.
DOWNWARD MOUTH ANGLES
Do you hate your drooping mouth corners? They can make you look sad to grumpy and even angry. You can get them either from an inherited genetic trait or from the process of aging.
Acne scars are usually the result of inflamed blemishes caused by skin pores engorged with excess oil, dead skin cells and bacteria. The pore swells, causing a break in the follicle wall.
Whiteheads are a mild form of acne that appear as small, round, white bumps on the skin's surface. This type of acne occurs when a pore becomes clogged with sebum, dead skin cells, and debris.
Facial wrinkles are caused by a number of factors; sun exposure, expression lines, gravity, sleep lines, loss of facial volume. Expression lines are generally treated with anti-wrinkle injections that relax the muscles causing the compression of the skin or dermal fillers.
When your skin is effected by sun damage, free radicals are released and cause harm to your skin cells. The result is saggy skin, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation (dark spots and melasma), and potential risk of skin cancer. This is also known as extrinsic aging, which is caused by your environment or lifestyle.
As the elastin in your skin weakens due to Genetic Aging, Hormonal Aging or Environmental Aging, your skin has a harder time “springing” back into place after you make these movements. As a result, your once temporary frown lines can become permanent wrinkles on your forehead.
ABOVE LIP LINES
Lip lines are a sign of premature skin ageing and are a common concern for men and women. While vertical upper lip lines and wrinkles can show up in your 40’s, if you’re a smoker, purse your lips a lot or have had a lot of sun exposure, they can appear earlier.
A gummy smile, known as excessive gingival display, is when you smile and too much gum tissue shows above the top teeth. This is caused simply by genetic.
